Sergio Aguero has returned to light training with Manchester City less than two weeks after fracturing a rib in a car accident in the Netherlands.

Aguero, 29, was in a taxi after attending Colombian singer Maluma's concert in Amsterdam when the driver lost control of the vehicle and hit a column on the side of the road.

It was originally feared the Argentina international could miss up to eight weeks but, after he was examined by City's medical staff, they hoped that he would be back significantly sooner.

Aguero was involved in a light session with a City physiotherapist at the Etihad Campus on Tuesday as he works on getting back to full fitness.

Sergio Aguero trained on Tuesday morning at the Etihad Campus.

He missed the 1-0 victory over Chelsea two days after the accident as well as Argentina's World Cup qualifiers.

He is not expected to be fully fit in time for Saturday's Premier League clash with Stoke City.

Fabian Delph has also returned to City training after being forced to withdraw from England's squad for their World Cup qualifiers.
