Shaibu Yakubu, left, fears Trabzon could be relegated

Ex-Ghana youth international Shaibu Yakubu is harbouring fears his 1461 Trabzon side could be relegated to the Turkish third-tier of football.

Trabzon are 18th on a 19-team table, two places adrift of safety with three games left to wind down the season.

Fethiyespor and Tavsanli are 2 and 3 points better than Trabzon respectively on the table and they must win all of their remaining 3 games stand a chance of remaining in the Lig 1.

But the former AshGold and Ghana U23 forward fears his side's chances are slimmer.

"Now we are true to relegation but not everything is lost. We must still try and win all our last three games and see how things will go," he told GHANAsoccernet.com.

Shaibu joined Trabzon before the start of the season from Cypriot side Enorsis and has netted three times in all competitions this season.
