Kwadwo Asamoah is the highest paid Ghanaian footballer in Italy as his 1.6m Euros annual salary makes the Juventus star the best paid player from the West African country plying his trade in the Serie A.

The revelation of the salaries puts to rest the notion in Ghanaian circles that footballers earn mammoth salaries as the other players from Ghana receive average salaries.

This means Ghana's highest paid player in the Serie A takes home a monthly salary of about 133,333 Euros per month.

The revelation by the biggest sports newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport which published the annual salaries of players in the Serie A showed that Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu and and Alfred Duncan of Sassoulo are tied at second with 600,000 Euros annual wages.

This puts their monthly earnings at 50,000 Euros.

Talented midfield star Godfred Donsah, who recently joined Bologna from the relegated Cagliari, earns 450,000 Euros a year.

Donsah is shockingly tied at same position with Black Stars midfielder Afriyie Acquah who recently moved to big-paying Torino, making their monthly salary 37,500 Euros.

Midfielder Rahman Chibsah earns 16,666 Euros monthly makes his annual salary 200,000 Euros.
