Sidi's first half brace lifts Mighty Jets from danger zone

Ebusua Dwarfs' punishment of playing home matches at an adopted venue had a toll again in a 2-1 defeat to Mighty Jets in the Ghana top-flight on Saturday.

The Cape-Coast based are serving a 12 home-match ban and had to play at the Sly Tetteh Stadium in Dansoman-a venue familiar to Jets.

Sidi Abubakar's double in the first half dazed Dwarfs who have won one of their last six matches.

The young striker popped up inside the box to rifle home the opener in the 32nd minute and doubled the lead six minutes later with a thunderous drive.

Dwarfs put much effort into the second half and grabbed a late consolation from George Appiah.

Jets have now moved from the drop but one point above the danger zone in 13th place.

Dwarfs are in tenth place on the log sheet with four matches remaining.
