Sochaux coach Hervé Renard has assured new signing Jordan Ayew of unlimited playing time at the club.

The Ghana international has joined Les Lionceaux for the rest of the season.

“Thanks to Olympique Marseille to have released him so he could have a little more playing time,’’ Renard said.

“It’s his goal to be among Ghana’s 23-man squad for the World Cup and for us it is a big plus to bring him here.

“He has a lot to prove. This is a team of a different caliber. He comes to us for a constant level of performance.

“For him to prove that he has made the right choice.”

The French Ligue 1 will start next week with Sochaux travelling to Olympique Lyon.

Sometimes it is not being assured of playing time but the performance to earn it. Which coach in the world will sit a player whose average scoring rate is say 1goal per match on the bench? As a striker keep scoring and be assisting others to score, then the sky will be your limit as far as playing time is concerned. What do you think will happen if you should start 19 matches with only one goal scored and no assists?
