Hearts of Oak board member Thomas Esso has warned some of the club's former heads to stop criticizing the club because they lack credibility issues.

Former top officials of the club have 'ganged up' in a bid to take control of the club following the side's trophiless campaign in recent years.

A deep-seated cracks at the club amid a bitter power struggle has seen current and former officials throwing public jabs each other after another disappointing Premier League campaign.

Some few weeks ago, former head of the side, Harry Zakkour launched a stinging attack on the current board chairman of the club, Togbe Afede XIV, claiming that the club has lacked ambition ever since he took office.

And just a day after Zakkour's scathing attack, another ex-board member of the club, Alhaji Suleiman Ibrahim, who is known in football circles as "Alhaji Hearts", lashed out at Ernest Thompson and Harry Zakkour for bringing the traditional ruler to the club's fold.

But Esso says some of the club old guard are not worthy to attack the current board and warned them to stay away from the affairs of the club.

"There are some of them I respect a lot but there are some of them also, who do not command respect and if they want to attack us bullet for bullet, they will lack credibility, but I want to end here because that's the decision of the board. We don't want to go toe-to-toe with them," Esso told Happy FM.

"Let's allow them to do what they are doing. I respect some of them a lot but some of them if we have to come out to face them, like I said, we will do that with full salvo."
