Son of former Ghana captain Stephen Appiah, Larry Appiah, wants to follow in the footsteps of his famous father.
The 15-year-old, who plays for the Juventus youth team, wants to kick start his international career with a shot at the Under-17 level.
The youngster has revealed he takes a lot of inspiration from his dad, who retired from active football after an illustrious 20-year span.
“If I am called to play for the national team at any level, I will whole-heartedly respond and come and play anytime†Larry is quoted footballmadeinghana.
“My father has been my inspiration and not to only me but Ghanaians as a whole. I aspire to be like him but I’m yet to take football to a new level like he did†Larry told
“He’s been the best dad, both on and off the field. I can’t say I can be exactly like him but I hope I can acquire great success like he didâ€.
Larry has been likened to ex-France star Patrick Viera and hugely tipped for greatness.
