South Africa arrive in Ghana ahead of CAF-17 return tie

South African’s Under-17 team  arrived in the country on Wednesday  morning ahead of Saturday’s return leg of the CAF-17 qualifier at the Essipong stadium.

The Ghanaians are the overwhelming  favourite to qualify to the championship next year after recording a 3-2 win over their opponent on their own soil.

The Black Starlets are in Sekondi-Takoradi preparing for the fixture as they attempt to put the country’s name on the continental map once again.

Head coach Paa Kwesi Fabin is leaving no stone unturned in his quest to ensure they qualify by charging the twinkle-twinkle little startles to eschew complacency.

“The game is not yet over. We have the second leg to play and so there is all to play for,” Fabin said

“We’re not going to get complacent but will try to kill off the game at our own backyard.

“We’re just urging the fans to come out in their numbers to support the team.”

The Africa under 17 championships will be staged in Morocco in April next year.
