Orlando Pirates defender Edwin Gyimah is set to benefit from the absence of Jonathan Mensah and Daniel Amartey by starting alongside John Boye in the game against Canada.

Gyimah, has been a peripheral member of the team but is likely to be handed a starting place in the game against Canada.

Jonathan Mensah who is always almost the first pick in central defense is conspicuously missing from the squad released by Coach Avram Grant on Saturday while able deputy Daniel Amartey failed to make the trip due to visa issues.

This opens the door for former Wa All Stars utility player Edwin Gyimah who is tipped to get the nod ahead of Finland based Gideon Baah who has made the team for the first time in his career.
