South Africa FA President Kirsten Nemantandani is expecting the national U-17 side to beat Ghana on Saturday.
The Amajinbos must overturn a 3-2 deficit suffered in the own backyard a fortnight ago to pip the Black Starlets to qualify for next year’s Africa U-17 Championships.
The task of beating Ghana in the return leg considering the first game’s result looks daunting but Nematandani draws inspiration from similar happenings in the past.
“Of course we told them to go out there and do what Ghana did here,â€he told Angel FM.
“We told them it is possible. It is not strange that a team will lose at home and go and win away, it has happened.â€
The match will be played at the Sekondi Essipong Stadium on Saturday.
The aggregate winner of the tie will qualify for the championships which will be hosted in Morocco next year.
