Roma coach Luciano Spalletti announced that he is extremely happy with Francesco Totti’s recent contributions for the team.
The 39-year-old has scored four in his last four substitute appearances toward the tail end of what had been a difficult season for the Giallorossi icon.
“I think that Totti is doing perfectly in the way that I hoped he would,” said Spalletti to reporters ahead of his side’s fixture with Chievo.
“He is doing exactly what I wanted when he is in and out of the group, his physical contribution and effort in training is also excellent.
“He is doing what I wanted from him perfectly, I am very satisfied with his contribution.”
The Roma boss also discussed where he thinks his side should finish as they look to pip Napoli to second place.
“It was impossible to make third when I arrived, we have to give credit to the players who have taken us to where we are now,” added Spalletti.
