Sparta Rotterdam striker Mathias Pogba admits he urged brother Paul to leave Manchester United in 2012.
Mathias says he felt a move to Juventus would be best for his career at the time.
"I told him at the time, he had to leave United for the sake of his career. You can ask him if you see him," he told De Telegraaf.
"I said to Paul that for someone with his qualities he could not accept being loaned, as with other talents, including Danny Welbeck and Tom Cleverley, happened.
"Later I said to him: 'you must go. Manchester will try to hold you, but when you do your thing on the field, wherever you go, they will love you'.
"He left and look what has become of him."
