Spartak Moscow have reportedly put a €5m price tag on Ghana striker Abdul Majeed Waris for his outright sale.

The 22-year-old has struggled to assert himself in Russia since arriving as the top scorer in the Swedish top flight in 2012.

Waris remained an unused substitute in Spartak’s opening league game – signaling their intent of selling the Black Stars striker.

But the club wants to make some of the cash out of what it doled out to sign the former BK Hacken man.

They have therefore placed a €5m price tag on the striker for an outright purchase deal.

Twelve clubs are reported to be chasing Waris who enjoyed a fairly successful loan spell at Valenciennes in the second half of last season.

Spanish duo Malaga and Granada alongside German club Hertha Berlin are reported to have joined the chase to sign the Ghanaian.

Lens, Lille, Saint Etienne and Bordeaux have also been mentioned as interested parties.
