Hearts of Oak coach Herbert Addo says he will need five weeks to prepare his side to compete for titles.
The veteran trainer was unveiled last week and tasked to end their five-year trophy drought.
Addo has replaced club legend Mohammed Polo whose short-term contract expired at the end of the season.
After working miracles at Inter Allies last term to guide them from the foot of the table after the first half of the season to a sixth place finish.
“I need five weeks to know the players.” Addo told Graphic. “It is better to prepare the team both physically and mentally.”
Addo last won the league in 2010 when he led Aduana Stars to cause a huge upset.
