All Stars talisman Paul Asare eyes Premier League goal king

In-form Wa All Stars striker Paul Asare De Vries has revealed he is keen on ending this season as top scorer of the First Capital Plus Ghana Premier League.

The 2014 African Nations Championship (CHAN) star is second on the scorers chart with nine goals; one behind Asante Kotoko’s Seidu Bancey.

Asare has been magnificent for the Wa based club almost single-handedly ensuring their safety in the top flight.

He was on target on Thursday in their 2-0 win over Medeama which moved All Stars to eighth on the league table.

"For me team glory comes first but the golden boot would be tremendous,” 2013 Ghana U17 striker told GHANASoccernet.com.

"I am working hard week in week out and goals are just evaluation of how my training is repaying in matches.

"I will continue to work hard and enjoy myself on the field the best way I know how to do and that is scoring goal.”
