The Marketing Manageress of StarTimes Ghana, Akofa Djankui says her outfit is in to help in developing the Ghana Premier League adding that the partnering the GFA and the DFB will help to promote both leagues on the African continent.

She added her outfit is only partnering the Bundesliga to ensure the Ghana Premier League learns towards achieving the feat of the German game.

As part of the deal, Bundesliga Ambassador Austin Jay -Jay Okocha on Monday held talks with the GFA and officials of StarrTimes about bilateral relations between the two leagues.

And Akofa says the promotion of the Ghana Premier League will be key on their agenda.

“StarTimes is the official broadcast right holder of Bundesliga in Ghana and this year we have legends JJ Okocha and Sunday Oliseh as our ambassadors for the German league.

“It’s all about partnering with the Germans to learn a lot and impact it on our game here in Ghana” she told the media.

StarTimes recently acquired Broadcast Rights of the Ghana Premier League in a deal worth $17.9m with the television giants set to provide ten artificial pitches and a fully equipped modern OB Van to the GFA over the next ten years.
