Stephen Appiah lauds son Rodney for MVP and Goalking gongs at Lizzy Sports International School Football Gala

Ex-Juventus star Stephen Appiah is excited by his son Rodney's progress as a footballer after being named MVP and Goalking in the 2018 Lizzy Sports International Schools Football Gala.

Rodney, who is captain British International School (BIS), is following in the foosteps of his father who played for top European sides and alsocaptained Ghana.

Last year, he was also named Best Player of the tournament.

Appiah posted a picture of Rodney receiving his award on Instagram saying: ''Very Proud of you son, Keep it up @rodney_appiah #MVP #Goalking

Al Rayan International, coached by ex-Ghana star Laryea Kingston, won both the double.

In the Juniors category, they beat Christ the King Interntional School 3-2 and in the Seniors category it was a 5-4 penalty win after their goalkeeper made two saves.
