Stevanovic: Black Stars are in shape for a flying start

Ghana coach Goran Stevanovic claims his charges are ready for a bright start at the Africa Cup of Nations in Group D.

The Serbian held his first training session at the team's base in Ngouoni on Saturday after a two-week stay in Rustenburg, South Africa.

Stevanovic is still fining tune his squad for their opener against Botswana at the Stade Franceville on 24 January.

"We did a very good job in South Africa and now our self-confidence is very high with courage and we are ready for the start of the tournament," Stevanovic told GHANAsoccernet.com

"I saw some tapes and we are prepared for some couple of days to show them."

Ghana drew 1-1 with a second-string South African side before brushing aside Premier Soccer League side Platinum Stars 2-0.
