Stoke City manager Mark Hughes has dropped his interest in Ghana midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu, according to tuttomercatoweb.

The English side is reported to have held discussions with the Udinese enforcer and his agent last week over a potential move to the club.

But Italian portal tuttomercatoweb is reporting The Porters has decided against signing the Ghana international with manager  Manager Mark Hughes opting to sign Inter Milan midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri instead.

The Ghana international has one year left on contract and has been on the radar of Stoke boss Mark Hughes since last year.
