Asante Kotoko striker Abdul Aziz Yusif is delighted to have broken his goalscoring drought in the 2-1 win over Ebusua Dwarfs on Sunday.

The 22-year-old opened the scoring for Kotoko as they matched onto another vital win in the Ghanaian top flight against the strugglers.

The ex Real Tamale United striker is happy to have played a vital role in Sunday’s win before the still seething home fans.

“I was very excited with the first goal because it gave us the motivation to forge ahead,” he told Metro FM.

“It is good for me also and I can only be thankful to God.”

The champions have now gone 10 points clear at the top of the Ghana Premier League as they look to rebuild supporter confidence following their early Champions League exit.
