Striker Baffour extends New Edubiase contract

New Edubiase United have announced that striker Emmanuel Baffour has agreed a one-year extension to his contract.  The 22-year-old has electrified the Ghana top flight with his eye-catching scoring form with 11 goals in 12 matches.

Baffour's current contract runs out at the end of the season and Edubiase have moved quickly to tie him down.

His performance has alerted a host of clubs who are keen to add him to their set-up for the second half of the season with Hearts of Oak ready to splash a reported US$ 80,000 for his signature.

''We have agreed one year extension with Baffoe and that's an exciting piece of news for both parties,'' club president Abdul Salam Mumuni said.

"We have been very impressed with what he has been able to achieve in the early stages of the league and we hope it will continue in the course of the season.

"He's very respectful and works very hard at training and we're happy to have cemented our relationship with him.''
