Striker Gilbert Fiamenyo is hoping for an injury-free season at Ghanaian giants Hearts of Oak this term.

Fiamenyo has struggled with recurrent injuries since he joined the capital-based side from Heart of Lions.

The 24-year-old is expected to play a key role for the former African champions this term but prays for an injury-free season.

“I am ready for the new season and delighted that everything is going as planned,” he said

“I hope to stay fully fit this season and the seasons ahead. Injuries took a toll on me last season but I hope the situation changes.

“I believe when I’m fully fit the sky cannot be the limit for me.”

Fiamenyo has not lived up to expectations since he joined Hearts two years ago and reported to have clashed with former coach David Duncan
