Asante Kotoko striker Nathaniel Asamoah does not want his purported move to Red Stars Belgrade to cloud his quest to help his side win the domestic league.

The speedy frontman will undergoing a two-week trial with the former European champions after the first round ends on Sunday.

Kotoko beat Liberty Professionals 2-1 to open a two-point lead but face another tough test against Medeama, handled by their former coach Bashir Hayford, at home.

Asamoah who has scored five goals so far insists his primary aim is to help Kotoko end the first half of the season on top.

''I don't want to talk about any move to Red Star because that's not important at the moment,'' Asamoah said

"What is crucial for me is to contribute my quota in ensuring Kotoko remain top of the Premier League.

"The issue about my movement to Europe is not on my agenda. When the time comes for me to move on, everybody will hear.''
