Swedish-born Ghanaian striker Patrick Amoah has left Belgian top flight side OH Leuven to join second-tier side White Star.

The 25-year-old has been restricted to the bench at Leuven despite putting up a splendid performance at the start of the season.

Amoah, born to Ghanaian father and a Swedish mother, says his decision to rejoin White Star is in search of playing time.

"I was not given enough playing time at Leuven so I have decided to go back to my former club to help them regain promotion," Amoah said.

Amoah scored once in seven appearances in the first half of the season for Leuven.
