Manchester United and Manchester City are fighting over junior players as young as three years of age!

The Sun reports City have now gained the upper hand in the battle to land the best youngsters in the business by offering them full-time private education and iPads so kids can monitor their own progress.

Dave Horrocks has spent over 30 years coaching local club side Fletcher Moss Rangers, helping nurture talents like of Wes Brown, Danny Welbeck, Marcus Rashford and Ravel Morrison.

In a revealing interview with BBC 5live, Horrocks lifted the lid on the extents the two Manc clubs are going to and why City have become more appealing to parents.

Horrocks explained: “When you see them running with the ball, by accident, the scout is asking questions.

“It's comical really. They've only been walking for about 18 months. Clubs want the next Sergio Aguero. It's crazy.

“It will get ridiculous where scouts are stood outside the delivery ward asking if they can watch the kids play football!

“One club offered six years full-time education at a private school."

Horrocks claims one club even offered a 'four-year deal' to a six-year-old - despite the fact they would technically only be contracted for the final year of that period.
