Sudan recorded a 2-1 win over Ethiopia in a friendly last Saturday in Addis Ababa ahead of this weekend's 2012 final Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Ghana.

Badr Eldin Eldoud and Abu Elgasim scored in each half for the Desert Hawks to secure the moral boosting victory.

The Sudanese currently in the Ethiopian capital will wrap up their nine-day camping on 4 October before returning to Khartoum to finalize their preparations for the Group I decider.

Ghana and Sudan share joint top spot of Group I on 13-points apiece and the Desert Hawks can wrap up the group winners spot with victory.

The reverse fixture ended barren in Kumasi last year.
