New Steaua Bucharest signing Sulley Muniru will meet his teammates for the first time on Monday when the side assemble for pre-season training in Austria.
The 22-year-old was on Thursday unveiled as the club’s second summer signing on a four-year contract.
Muniru, who is the younger brother Sulley Muntari joined from CFR Cluj and will now have the opportunity to play in the UEFA Champions League with Steaua qualifying as champions of Romania.
The Ghanaian youngster will link up with the team for the first time on Monday when they commence pre-season training in Austria, the club announced.
"Football Club Steaua Bucharest announces that player Sulley Muniru, originated from CFR Cluj, signed a valid contract for 4 years with our club,†Steaua said in a statement.
“The midfielder Ghana 22-year-old will wear jersey number 11 and will be going along with the group led by Mirel Radoi in training camp in Austria, which will begin next Monday.
“The club welcomes him and he might have as many successes in red and blue shirt.â€
Sulley Muniru played for Liberty Professionals at youth level before his first trip to Europe to join Cluj in 2013.
