Sulley Muntair has secured permission to appear before World Cup commission

Italy-based player Sulley Muntari is desperate to appear before Ghana's 2014 World Cup Commission before it wraps up its hearing to present its report to the President of the country John Dramani Mahama.

AC Milan midfielder's appearance before the commission is key to to the fact-finding body's mission as it is expected to unlock some of the key things that affected the Black Stars at the World Cup in Brazil in June.

He is reported to have secured the permission from his Italian club to appear before the commission before their closing date of 14 November.

The Dzamefe Commission is understood to have made contacts with representatives of the player who is said to have agreed to fly in Accra to attend the commission's hearing.

He is expected to appear before the commission during the international break next month.

Muntari has been accused by several people who appeared before of the commission of violent behaviour during the tournament which resulted in his sacking from the camp in Brazil.

He is keen on stating his side of the story which he stated during an itnerview with the media in the USA some months ago.

“[Ghana] is my country. I love my country; I can never exchange any place with my country but [you know] there are certain things that I want to say but I’ll say them at the exact time," Muntari told reporters at the AC Milan pre-season training in August.

"For now, I don’t want to talk about it but my country is always going to be my country.”

Ghana FA member Moses Armah revealed last week that the AC Milan player attacked him during a meeting at the tournament to resolve the issue of the non payment of their appearance fees.

Muntari was accused of physically attacking the owner of Medeama Sporting Club which led to the powerful team owner to hit back at the player.
