Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari opened the scoring for AC Milan in the 5-1 thrashing of Pro Piacenza 5-1 in their latest friendly.

The 2014 FIFA World Cup star scored after five minutes, getting on the end of Daniele Bonera’s cross in from the right.

The San Siro outfit doubled their lead just over 20 minutes later through Keisuke Honda following good play on the left by Jeremy Menez, and that is the way it stayed until half time.

Inzaghi changed his entire line-up during the break, but it took barely a minute for youngster M’Baye Niang to add his name to the score sheet.

Pro Piacenza then pulled a goal back before Giampaolo Pazzini and Stephan El Shaarawy rounded off a good afternoon’s work for the Rossoneri.

Michael Essien played in the squad which started the second half.

Milan first half: Abbiati; Bonera, Rami, Zapata, Albertazzi; Poli, de Jong, Muntari; Honda, Balotelli, Menez.

Milan second half: Agazzi; Abate, Alex, Mexes, Zaccardo; Essien, Modic, Saponara; Niang, Pazzini, El Shaarawy.
