Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari is optimistic about the team's chances against Sudan and insists the Black Stars will grind out the result.

The Inter-Milan enforcer arrived at the team's camping base on Monday night with high hopes to helping the 2010 World Cup quarter-finalists defeat Sudan at their own backyard on 8 October.

The 26-year-old who has been given a lifeline by manager Claudio Ranieri is a sure bet to start in the game on Saturday and he looks forward to ditching the impressive Sudanese.

"It will be very difficult but we also know we have to qualify and so we’ll do more than our best to help our nation," Muntari said

"It's pride and joy to wear the national colours and so I’m sure everyone will give off more than 100% in this decider

"At the moment the concentration is here and helping my nation to qualify for the Nations cup is the priority right now. The fans should just have faith and pray for us.

"We know what it will mean to Ghanaians if we qualify and make an attempt at winning the Cup which has eluded us for so long."

Ghana are tied on 13 points apiece with Sudan in Group I and need to avoid defeat to remain on top after the weekend's final round qualifier.
