Midfielder Sulley Muntari believes his AC Milan side still have a lot of work to do despite making a bright start to their season.
The suspended Ghana player scored the second in Milanââ¬â¢s their 3-1 home win against Lazio.
But it looks he must double up his efforts with the arrivals of Bonaventura and Marco Van Ginkel before the transfer deadline day last week.
ââ¬ÅMilan? The aim for the start of the season was to begin well. We still have lots of work to do. We donââ¬â¢t want to give anything up,â⬠the 30-year-old said.
ââ¬ÅIââ¬â¢m not interested in goals, I want to work for the team, this shirt and my team-mates. Goals and performances will then come as a consequence.
ââ¬ÅThe important thing is that in the end we all do well and we stay united like a family, even in the difficult times.
ââ¬ÅHowever, I havenââ¬â¢t got any doubts. Iââ¬â¢ve seen Fernando Torres, he seems a very calm guy.
ââ¬ÅBonaventura is a strong player and we have two players that we wanted, even van Ginkel. We want to welcome them like in a family.
ââ¬ÅWeââ¬â¢re doing what the coach wants, but itââ¬â¢s only the start and itââ¬â¢s not enough. We have to remain humble and focused.ââ¬
Milan will face Parma at Stadio Ennio Tardini in their second game of the season on 14 September.
