The Daily Mail says Sunderland manager Steve Bruce is unsure whether midfielder Muntari, 26, on loan from Inter Milan, will stay.
The midfielder’s huge wages could be the problem for the Black Cats who are unable to pay the huge salary he receives at Inter Milan.
Muntari has struggled to reach peak form since his January arrival.
