Ghana forward Jordan Ayew watched from the stands as his Aston Villa side posted a comfortable 2-0 win over Norwich City in the English Premier League on Saturday.

The 24-year-old missed the game with suspension from a straight red card received during a midweek action.

Villa boss Remi Garde had to rely on his periphery attacking options as the striker was ruled out of the Villains next two games.

But his absence was not a deterrent for a win for Villa as Joleon Lescott and Gabby Agbonlahor struck the goals to shine a glimmer of light on Villa's grim season.

Jordan will miss another home tie against Liverpool before returning for their next game in the campaign.
