SWAG in crucial talks with Parliamentary Select Committee on Sports

Executives of the Sports Writers Association of Ghana [SWAG] on Thursday met the Parliamentary Select Committee on Youth, Sports and Culture at Parliament House in Accra.

The meeting touched on Co-operation between the two bodies, how to influence policy direction and also find ways of tackling problems in the sports sector.

SWAG was led by President Kwabena Yeboah while Honourable Kobina Woyome led the Parliamentary delegation at the closed door meeting.

The two parties agreed to hold further talks and find ways of helping to resolve not only problems at the sports front but also in the area of sports journalism which plays a key role in Ghana's sports industry.

The meeting which is the first of its kind is expected to yield positive dividends towards the development and progress of sports in the country.
