Ghana striker Mahatma Otoo has dedicated his 2012/13 Sports Writers Association of Ghana Premiership Player of the Year to his Hearts of Oak team-mates and the club's technical team.

The 21-year-old beat Asante Kotoko midfielder Michael Akuffo and Amidaus Professionals' Yahaya Mohammed to win the lucrative price on Saturday in Accra.

The Hearts of Oak captain netted 22 times for the 2000 African champions and masterminded their surge as they moved from the relegation zone to finish just below the top-four place.

Otoo who has been a regular member of Ghana's squad for the 2014 World Cup qualifiers acknowledges the impact of David Duncan's technical team as well as the support of his team-mates.

"It hasn't been my sole effort, the technical team and my team-mates have been all supportive. I thank everybody for their support," he said after the event.

The former Ghana U20 captain is being pursued by Belgian sides Anderlecht and Genk while an unnamed South African side is reportedly close to signing him.

He has also guided Hearts to the final of the 2013 Ghana President Cup after helping them to eliminate TP Mazembe in Accra.
