Swansea midfielder Andre Ayew expects striker Bafetimbi Gomis to stay with the club following mounting speculation surrounding his long-term future at the club.

Gomis has been on fire for the Swans since the start of the season with a goal each in his last four appearances for the club.

The impressive form of the Frenchman has alerted a host of English Premier League clubs with giants Manchester United as well as Aston Villa and West Ham United are believed to be interested.

But Ghana midfielder Andre Ayew, who has formed a deadly partnership with Gomis expects the striker to stick with the Welsh-based club.

Bafe is a player I know very well, I know a lot of his movements,”

“I'm not able to find him every time, but if I've got the ball I try to look for him first. Then we have other people around.

“He moves really well, I always try to find him, and at the moment he is on fire, four goals from four games. He is a complete striker: he plays in the air, he keeps the ball, he goes behind the back, he's quick.

“He is a player that was underestimated for a while. He's a big striker and with the opportunity he's had since January, he's proving that he is one of the top strikers in the league, and I hope he keeps scoring goals because that will win us games.

“And he is going to stay; Bafe is going to stay and help us because he is our leading striker, he is here to score goals and we will feed him as much as we can."
