Swansea boss Clement: How Ancelotti \'celebrated\' Chelsea sacking

Published on: 25 February 2017

Swansea City boss Paul Clement has revealed how Carlo Ancelotti 'celebrated' his sacking by Chelsea.

Clement was Ancelotti's assistant when he was axed by Chelsea 2011.

Clement smiles as he recalls the evening in a bar which followed.

"I was there," he said. "I was having a drink with David Moyes. Carlo told me on the bus that he'd been sacked. Then word got around.

"Carlo was half expecting it. When we got back, we went out in London and had a really good night! It was a bar up in town. We went with some players — Frank Lampard, John Terry, Ashley Cole. Great night. The big players did not want him to go."
