Swansea City manager Gary Monk has described Ghana international Andre Ayew as an incredibly matured leader ahead of their clash with Watford at the Vicarage Road Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The Swansea manager who earlier described Andre Ayew a great player with leadership qualities giving hints that the Ghanaian could captain the Swans soon believes the talented Ghanaian winger has exhibited great maturity during his short stint with the club.

The Ghana Black Stars deputy captain who arrived as a free agent from Olympique Marseille has taken the Premiership by storm and Monk insists he is an incredible addition to the Swans.

"He’s been excellent and a leader as well and which is great. For someone as young as he is to be so matured, I think that is a good influence on our group. And to bring that experience to share with the group is excellent," Monk told Swansea TV.

“He’s got world cup and champions league experience and that is incredible. He has walked into the team easily and that demonstrates how matured he is as a player,”

Ayew has remarkably scored three in four Premier League games already for Swansea, fetching two of the goals against champions Chelsea and Premier League giants Manchester United.
