Swansea City star Andre Ayew has wished all Muslims a happy Eid as they celebrate the major festival of sacrifice known as Eid Ul Adha.

The deputy Black Stars captain in a message on twitter said "Wishing all Muslims a very happy and peaceful Eid. May Allah bless us all, #EidMubarak#ALLAH".

Eid Ul Adha, also know as the 'Feast of Sacrifice' is a religious festival for Muslims.

This year, the celebrations commence from the evening of 23rd September and in the evening the next day. The festive day ends the annual Hajj to Mecca and is the second of two religious holidays celebrated by Muslims worldwide.

Muslims all over the world celebrate the Eid Ul Adha festival in remembrance of the sacrifice Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) used his son Ismail for when Allah ordered him to sacrifice his only son.

Andrea Ayew has had a blistering start to the English Premier League season making him the Barclay Player of the Month last month.
