Swansea decide against appealing Jordan Ayew red card
Jordan Ayew was red carded against Huddersfield.

Swansea City will not appeal Jordan Ayew's red card in the 0-0 draw with Huddersfield Town on Saturday in the English Premier League.

Ayew was dismissed after just 11 minutes for a high challenge on Jonathan Hogg.

Manager Carlos Carvalhal hinted in his post-match interview that the club would consider appealing the decision but that has been put on hold after exploring the video evidence

A club statement read: "Swansea City have reluctantly decided against appealing the red card shown to Jordan Ayew at Huddersfield Town on Saturday. The Swans were conscious that if an appeal is deemed frivolous by the Football Association, suspensions can be extended."

Jordan will now miss Saturday's FA Cup quarter-final against Tottenham Hotspur.

He is also ineligible to play in the league matches agaunst Manchester United and West Bromwich Albion after the international break.
