Helsingborgs striker Emmanuel Boateng, says he takes inspiration from David Accam’s performance and is looking to following his footsteps.

The 21 year old is recovering from a horrific injury which has restricted his playtime on the pitch since he moved to Sweden in 2013.

The former Right to dream academy youth product could only watch from the stands as friend and club mate David Accam took the league by storm.

But Boateng says he is boosted by Accam’s performance and is looking forward to following in his footsteps.

“ I was injured towards Norrköping in round two and missed large parts of spring,” Boateng said

“While it was tough for me, David had a fantastic season and I was happy for him both as a friend and teammate because he won matches on his own for us.”

“ i am looking to following in his footsteps here and I am sure I can because I am only 21.”
