Ghanaian youth midfielder Abdul Razak Mendy has emerged as target for top Swedish second-tier sides after impressing with third-tier side Östersunds FK.

The 21-year-old midfielder excelled in a friendly game for Östersunds FK as they played English side Wigan in the pre-season.

Former Allsvenskan campaigners Halmstad BK as well as Assyriska both monitored the versatile midfielder and are convinced about his qualities.

"Mendy is in Ghana now because the season is over. We are looking at the best options for him to move in January," Mendy's Greek agent, Dionysios Georgantopoulos said.

AIK Stockholm scouts have also watched the Kumasi-born midfielder.
