Swedish side Hammarby IF have parted ways with Ghanaian midfielder Gershon Koffie after both parties agreed to mutually go separate ways.
The Ghanaian who joined the club from Major League Soccer side New England Revolution has failed to impress technical handlers of the club, hence playing only two times for Hammarby.
Following an underwhelming season from the 26 year old, the club agreed to part ways with the player who wished the club success in their future endeavors.
"I have discussed my situation with Hammarby and I suggested that this solution. It is with mutual respect we go differently, and I wish the best for Hammarby. Hope that the team will hold its league and win the league, says Gershon Koffie.
Meanwhile, Sporting director of Hammarby IF Jesper Janssen thanked the player for his services and wished him the best in his next destination.
"We would like to thank Gershon for this time. He ended up in a difficult place here, but has always had a hundred percent professionalism, and he will be very proud of it. We wish him great luck in his continued football career, "said Hammarby's sports director Jesper Jansson.
