Takyi could rejoin St Pauli

Posted On Thursday, 10th January 2013

Charles Takyi could be on his way back to St Pauli

Ghana midfielder Charles Takyi could make a return to German Bundesliga II side St Pauli.

The 29-year-old has been clubless since quitting Pauli last June.

He failed to win himself a deal with Bundesliga side Energie Cottbus after unsuccessful trials.

Takyi played an influential role in Pauli’s Bundesliga promotion campaign two seasons ago and boss Michael Frontzeck would like to bring back the former Hmaburg SV youngster fortify his midfield.

Takyi, a former German youth international, played for Ghana at the 2012 Nations Cup which was held in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.
