Leeds United manager Thomas Christiansen has lamented on another injury sustained by Ghanaian forward Caleb Ekuban.
Ekuban, who joined the Yorkshire club in the off season from Italian side Chievo Verona, has been hampered by injuries since signing for the side.
The 23-year-old forward suffered a huge setback once again during the side's 3-1 win over Queens Park Rangers last Saturday and the team's manager, Thomas Christiansen has bemoaned the loss of the Ghanaian sharp shooter.
“Caleb has been very unlucky to pick up this injury however he does not require surgery which will make the process quicker than we first thought,” Thomas Christiansen said.
“It's a blow for all of us as Caleb is a big part of our plans, although with Pierre-Michel Lasogga returning to training last week and Kemar Roofe and Jay-Roy Grot available to us, who can both play down the middle, shows how strong our squad is.”
Ekuban missed the side's 1-0 win against Norwich City at Elland Road thanks to Pontus Jansson’s first half header.
