Ghana star Thomas Partey has been handed a starting role in Atletico Madrid's crucial La Liga clash against Athletic Bilbao this afternoon.
Partey is part of a four man midfield opted for by coach Diego Simeone for the important match. The Black Stars midfielder has earned the spot following a brilliant performance in midweek as the Roji Blancos thumped Copenhagen in the Europa League.
It is his first start in La Liga since 20th January where he was in the starting line up in the 1-1 stalemate against Girona.
Atletico need three points to close in on leaders Barcelona, who won at Eibar yesterday by 2-0.
The game starts at exactly 3:15 pm.
