Tom Strand confident Medeama will beat Kotoko to annex MTN FA Cup crown for the second time

Medeama coach Tom Strand believes his team holds the aces ahead of their MTN FA Cup final against Kotoko on August 30.

The Tarkwa-based side are back in the final after winning the title two years ago at the expense of the defending league champions.

The two teams will go head-to-head at the Essipong stadium with an eye for the crown top of te agenda.

And Swedish trainer Tom Strand admits the enormity of the task but confident his troops will emerge victorious.

“Kotoko obviously will be favorites because they are the defending Champions, but we will also go in for a win,” he told the Ghanaian media on Tuesday

“It is going to be the difficult but this wouldn’t be the first time we will be facing Kotoko, and I know we can beat Kotoko to win the trophy.

“We want to win and take the trophy back to the Western region.”

The winner of the tie will represent Ghana at next year’s CAF Confederation Cup.
