Top Aduana Stars players using Kotoko interest to 'blackmail' club in contract negotiation

Top Aduana Stars players are subtly milking their employers dry by using interest from desperate title rivals Asante Kotoko to 'extort' huge sums of money to renew their contracts, GHANAsoccernet.com sleuth hounding has revealed. 

Officials of the Fire club are being forced to dole out outrageous cash to meet the demands of their star men for fear of losing them to the Porcupine Warriors.

It appears the hands of the club are tied at the back and have no option but to kowtow to their monstrous demands.

The players are believed to be using the Ghanaian giants as a 'bait' to attract big money contract extension and seems the plan is working to perfection.

Goalkeeper Joseph Addo, who was linked with a return to Kumasi, has signed a fresh three-year deal worth GH¢30,000 a year.

The for the fear of losing players to rivals and having ttheir hands tied at the back, they have no option but to kowtow to their outrageous demands.

Midfielder Elvis Opoku has also signed a mouth-watering three-year deal as well as striker Derrick Sassraku.

Defender Daniel Darkwa is currently negotiating a similar deal with the club amid fears the  hefty financial demands could cripple the team in the not too-distant future.

Aduana Stars will represent Ghana in the CAF Champions League next year after clinching the domestic top-flight this season.
