Great Olympics Director Fred Pappoe says he is happy not to have used his position at the Ghana FA to influence results to save his club.

Pappoe has been criticized by several fans of the Wonder club for not using his influence as an Executive Committee member of the GFA to affect matches in favour of the club.

Olympics is one of two clubs to have been demoted from the Ghanaian top flight on the final matchday of the season with Heart of Lions being the other to join the already relegated BA United.

But Fred Pappoe insists he is a person of high moral standing and will not abuse his power in any form to give his side an undue advantage over opponents.

“I am happy to hear that people say I didn’t use my position in the FA to influence results in favour of Olympics as against other teams,” he said.

“This shows that my morals are intact.

“In this our sport, you are branded in a negative sense for speaking the truth but I am happy that my morals remain intact in the face of all these difficulties.”
