Tottenham boss warns Chelsea to not bother with Kane bid

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has told Chelsea they will be unsuccessful if they go after Harry Kane anytime soon.

The reigning Premier League champions are being linked with a possible summer move for the 22-year-old striker who enjoyed a breakout season with 31 goals in all competitions for Spurs in 2014/15.

After scoring the winner in Thursday night's Europa League clash with Qarabag in Azerbaijan, Kane was the subject of interest from reporters who quizzed Pochettino on the Blues pursuit of the England international who has scored nine goals in his past six outings for the North Londoners.

"I am happy that a big club want our player - this is because they show they are a top player with top performances. It is good when they are linked," said Pochettino who had goalkeeper Hugo Lloris turn down Manchester United in the summer.

"But Harry, like Hugo, wants to stay here. He is one of the best players and he is very happy.

"He wants to grow up with us and try the next few years to try for the top four and win titles with Tottenham. This is his challenge."
